I just experienced one of the greatest feelings a mom gets to have. Barrett just said "ma ma." My heart leaped. Of course for a while now, hes been able to say bababababa, dadadada, mamamama. But he actually said it this time. I was looking right at him, and he at me. I said "ma ma?" And with a big 'ol grin on his face he said it back. Oh man..what a feeling. Another accomplishment for Barrett today, he got his 2nd bottom tooth! I am one proud mamma. I just fed him a bottle while writing this. He was a sleepy boy...
Since the accident I was in, I have had to go to the chiro every day. I'm finally starting to feel better!!! Thank God!! My mom was sweet enough to make me a whole wheat pack for my neck and shoulders. Brink decided she needed it too. I snuck this picture of her...
Well, What you just read, was now yesterday. Man. It's taking me So long to write a post this week. So much has happened in the past week. Which is strange, because I've hardly had any inspiration to post anything. And now I feel like I need to catch you up.
And today is the day we had Brinklees 2nd birthday party. She did so good. She opened every present, and politely said "tank you." I think this pic is hilarious. She had to carry her balloon around that nana got her, and wouldn't let us take the bink out. And then, look closely. She has a razorbacks diaper cover over her jeans, And put it on backwards. I love this little stinker.
our gift to brink this year was her first set of crayons, And a Dora coloring book. She freaked when she saw Dora. It's such a good feeling. Just pure innocence, genuine joy over something so simple to us, And so grand to her. It was special. We waited till everyone went home to show her. Then I sat down and we colored our first picture together.
One of her other gifts, fairy dress up set from grandma. She didn't like wearing the wings. So I'm holding them up behind her in this pic. I can't believe my baby is 2 :(

Her birthday was 2 weeks ago, but TODAY, it felt like her birthday. We only invited immediate family, and our best friends. Trying to do something low-key, some How still winds up being a full house. Good thing we didn't invite the rest of the family. We would have ran out of room. I'm thinking maybe next year. She will be 3, and I'm thinking a park this time. Bigger space, things besides baby toys to keep the big kids occupied :/
Last year, for her first birthday, we were BROKE. So I made her cake myself. This year, I procrastinated. So had to make it myself again. It was a disaster. Trying to get It outta the pan, and on to the other so I could frost it, broke. In several pieces. I almost cried. The party was starting in like... an hour. Luckily, most pieces were large, and I pieced it all back together. Baking and frosting cakes is not one of my greatest talents. And her cake may not be the prettiest. But It was made with a lot of love. And it was a big hit. I'm thinking this may just need to become my little tradition. Make my kids' birthday cakes.
As We decided that it was cake and icecream time, I went into the kitchen to get the cake. Looked at it, took A pic and started cutting into it. Then thought, "I feel like in forgetting something. Hmmm. I took the picture...what am I forgetting?" Hot the cake served. As the party was ending and most guests had left, my mom pointed out that I definitely forgot something.
Brink also got her first "haircut" this week. I put that in parenthesis, because it was hardly that. I just evened it up. She doesn't quite have enough hair yet..
I just wanted to share this pic with yall. Me And john rarely have pictures together. So here is our latest and greatest
I will be writing soon, a post that is about things that I have "stumbled upon" recently. I'm going to try to make that a weekly post for yall, (notice I said try ) because some of It will be stuff thats just nice to know. But Some will just be things I thought were neat. Night<3
